Debut Solo Album "Here" Drops May 1st, 2021 !

FINALLY!! It’s HERE! It’s my new album; and I’m calling it “Here”

”Here” like, “Here I am” and also “Here we go”, or, “Here my friend, this is for you”.

Because it’s my expression, my soul’s declaration, and a big ‘ole bucket on my list.

But also because it’s for you; with the intention of bringing moments of calm, soothing peace.

The album has 8 songs, all of which I wrote over the past several years; and it’s essentially a collection of favorites that all started out on ukulele.

During the summer of 2020, my dearest friend and musical wizard team mate Jared Masters and I met in the studio above the barn at my farm, and recorded a new song each week. We would begin each session by clocking the tempo as I played and sang acoustically with my ukulele. Jared then mic’ed my uke first, capturing one take all the way through to map structure. We then went back, adding lead vocals and harmonies, and then would re-cut ukulele if we felt the need. From there, Jared took the tracks home and added synths, keys, guitars, and/or percussion. Later on we added my upright bass to those we felt it was necessary, as well as a couple guest musicians like Noah Jenkins on violin and Jesse Kennemer on slide guitar.

The end result is truly an incredibly moving sonic work of art that both myself and Jared are extremely proud of and can’t wait to share with the world. Whomever may find it, we hope they find a smile and an audio hug as well.

Andrew Lloyd took the photos for the cover art, and I have to say they came out magically! Lots of support for this album came my way, and I am very grateful to the friends and family that lent an ear and a few kind words of encouragement.
